We are occupational therapy rehab in Cairns Occupational Therapy and other Allied Health services at our new specialised rehabilitation centre in Cairns. Our team of therapists will work with you to understand your needs and create a personalised program, which may include additional therapies such as Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology and Speech Pathology.

Our Occupational Therapists will assess your ability to perform daily activities and work with you to set goals to help you return to your optimum level of independence. This could be after a workplace injury, trauma or a medical condition like rheumatoid arthritis. We may also recommend assistive equipment to aid in your mobility such as a shower chair or power wheelchair.

Mignon Prinsloo, a JCU graduate who now works at Cairns Occupational Therapy, says it was easy for her to find work as an OT after graduating. “I was able to get a job straight away, and I really enjoyed it,” she said. “I was able to specialise in hand therapy which was what I wanted, and that was pretty awesome.”

The official launch of our new facility included a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony by Elder Peter Hyde of the Gimuy Walubara Yidinji people, followed by speeches, a ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of a commemorative plaque.
