About Rowan Barnes
Rowan Barnes is an experienced teacher at Teachers Lead Philly, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing teachers with the resources and support they need to be successful in their classrooms. Rowan has been teaching for over 10 years and has worked in both public and private schools. She has a passion for helping students reach their full potential and believes that all students have the right to receive a quality education.
Rowan graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Education and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Temple University. She began her career as a teacher at a local elementary school, where she quickly gained recognition for her dedication to her student’s success. After several years of teaching, Rowan moved into an administrative role at another school district, where she was responsible for overseeing curriculum development and professional development initiatives.
In 2018, Rowan joined Teachers Lead Philly as an Instructional Coach. In this role, she provides teachers with personalized coaching sessions designed to help them become more effective educators. She also works closely with school administrators to ensure that teachers are receiving the support they need to succeed in their classrooms. Additionally, Rowan is involved in various initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes across Philadelphia’s public schools.
